Sau gần 3 tiếng, Lễ trao giải Oscar 2019 vừa khép lại với chiến thắng thuộc về bộ phim "Green Book" với những thông điệp mạnh mẽ lên án nạn phân biệt chủng tộc của đạo diễn Peter Farrelly.
Trước đó, ứng cử viên sáng giá nhất cho giải "Phim truyện xuất sắc" được giới chuyên môn nhận định là “Roma”. Do vậy, kết quả bất ngờ này ngay lập tức đã gây nhiều tranh cãi. Tờ Guardian nhận định đây là sự lựa chọn kỳ lạ của Viện Hàn lâm Mỹ.
Đạo diễn Alfonso Cuaron nhận giải Đạo diễn xuất sắc nhất. Trong khi đó, bộ phim ca nhạc "Bohemian Rhapsody" đại thắng với tổng cộng 4 giải thưởng trong số 5 đề cử.
Ba bộ phim "Black Panther", "Roma" và "Green Book" cùng nhận 3 giải thưởng tại Oscar 2019.
